Arbutus Point.
The headland lot, with water on three sides and the last light of the day.
Arbutus Point is the western anchor of the release: a forested headland that reaches into the lake with roughly three hundred metres of shore wrapped around it. A smooth rock shelf on the south face takes the afternoon sun; a pebble cove on the sheltered east side is the natural place for a dock.
The building envelope sits back in the firs on the spine of the point, high enough for views in two directions and hidden enough that nothing is visible from the water but trees.
